Sexual freedom, unsafe behavior caused by sexual release, extramarital behavior caused by infidelity, non use of contraceptives, diversity of sexual behavior, ignorance of sexual knowledge, and neglect of sexual health are important reasons for the increase in cases.
STD is the general term of an infectious disease mainly transmitted through sexual behavior. The common sexually transmitted diseases in China include gonorrhea, nongonococcal urethritis, genital herpes, condyloma acuminatum, syphilis, prickly heat, lymphogranuloma, AIDS, etc.
The transmission routes of sexually transmitted diseases are divided into two categories
Direct contact transmission
Direct contact transmission, also known as sexual contact transmission, is the main mode of transmission, accounting for more than 95%. In addition to sexual intercourse (where the penis comes into contact with the vagina), there are also anal sex, French kissing, masturbation, and contact.
Indirect contact infection
Indirect contact infection is transmitted through contact with infected clothing, bathtubs, shared bathtubs, toilets, etc. It also includes rare transmission methods such as blood transfusions, blood transfusion products, organ transplants, artificial insemination, use of infected medical equipment, inadequate protection by doctors and nurses for epidemic prevention, placental transmission, birth canal transmission, breast milk transmission, etc.
STDs mainly cause damage to patients' genitourinary organs, such as gonococcal urethritis, orchitis, prostatitis and other syphilis can also cause bone, cardiovascular, nerve damage, and even life-threatening women suffering from STDs can cause death or infertility mother to child transmission, and some STDs that directly harm the health of children will cause genital inflammation and ulcers, increasing the risk of patients infected with AIDS.
Types of sexually transmitted diseases
Negligible sexually transmitted diseases - non gonococcal urethritis
Non gonococcal urethritis is mainly caused by genital mycoplasma, chlamydia, Trichomonas vaginalis and other bacterial contact infections. Male patients with itching, painful urination, redness and swelling of the urethral opening, and thin secretion may experience symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, painful urination, and low back pain caused by pelvic inflammatory disease. Delayed treatment without showering can cause complications such as salpingitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, miscarriage, and infertility in women, as well as prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, and infertility in men.
There are clinical manifestations of urethritis. Urethral secretion coating and gonococcal culture are negative. It is a sexually transmitted disease, mainly caused by Chlamydia trachomatis and ureaplasma urealyticum. The disease is 40-250% Chlamydia trachomatis, 20-30% ureaplasma urealyticum, 10-20% Trichomonas vaginalis, rosary albicans and simple scar virus. Chlamydia trachomatis and ureaplasma urealyticum can only parasitize in cells.
