Female urethral cancer is a serious disease and also a type of malignant tumor. After getting sick, it has a serious impact and harm on patients. We need to be clear about its treatment methods and also pay attention to daily dietary adjustments.
Treatment methods for female urethral cancer
1. Distal urethral cancer:
(1) Low stage (O, A, B) tumors: It is recommended to use laser needle or iridium implantation (60Gy) or external radiation (65Gy) for radiotherapy. The efficacy of O and A stages is very good, and the complications of radiotherapy include urethral or urethral stricture, paraurethral ulcers, urinary incontinence, enteritis, and intestinal obstruction. Some Phase B patients require surgical treatment due to residual tumors or complications. When there is no radiotherapy equipment, partial urethrectomy is feasible. People with extensive tumor invasion but no invasion of the vagina can undergo total urethrectomy and bladder flap urethroplasty.
(3) C-stage and d-stage tumors: C-stage tumors that do not invade the bladder can undergo surgery to preserve the bladder. The C-stage and D-stage tumors of the bladder should undergo anterior pelvic organ removal surgery. Radiation therapy of 40-50Gy within 4-6 weeks before surgery. Widely infiltrating tumors should have the entire vagina and vulva removed. If necessary, remove the pubic ramus and the lower half of the pubic symphysis together. Patients with stage d tumors accompanied by inguinal lymph node metastasis should undergo inguinal lymph node dissection.
When detecting tumors in stages o, a, b, and c, close observation of inguinal lymph node metastasis should be performed for lymph node dissection.
If the distal urethral cancer recurs after partial resection or radiotherapy, radical surgery should be performed.
2. Full thickness tract cancer: The throughput of small lesions in stages O, A, or B can be cured by radiation/local resection, but most of them have extensive metastasis at the time of diagnosis. Preoperative radiation therapy can be performed first, followed by anterior pelvic organ clearance surgery.
Dietary therapy for female urethral cancer
1. Ginseng Agar Soup: 12g American ginseng, 30g Agar. Boil the American ginseng into a soup and paste it into powder. Take 10 grams of ginseng soup and send it to the server. Take one dose daily in three doses. This prescription is suitable for those who suffer from qi and blood loss, physical weakness, hair loss, or leukopenia after radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
2. Lily and Dendrobium Pork Soup: 30g Lily, 15g Dendrobium, 150-200g Lean Pork. Put the above three ingredients into a sand pot, add an appropriate amount of water, simmer gently until cooked, drink soup, eat meat, and eat lilies. Take 1 dose daily. This formula can be used as dietary therapy for patients with lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and gastric cancer during radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
3. Shen Qi Gou Jia Tang: 12 grams of ginseng, 60 grams of raw astragalus, 30 grams of goji berries, and 100 grams of turtle. Cut Huangqi slices separately. Put the above four flavors into a casserole, add an appropriate amount of water, and simmer over low heat. Eat goji and turtle, drink soup, take one dose per day. This prescription is suitable for patients with Qi and Yin deficiency and extremely weak constitution after radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
