How to self test the severity of erectile dysfunction? Avoiding three major misconceptions in self testing of erectile dysfunction
The severity of self rated impotence
Based on the medical history, clinical symptoms, and preliminary impression of the examination results, and based on the grading of penile erection, the presence of sexual impotence is determined. (Normal): Normal libido, fast erection response, erection duration disappears after ejaculation or interruption of sexual intercourse, erection hardness can be freely inserted into the vagina, sexual pleasure is good, sexual frequency does not change significantly, masturbation and erection response are normal.
1. (Mild): The sexual desire is basically normal, the erection response is fast, the erection duration is unstable, sometimes it cannot be sustained, the erection hardness sometimes cannot be placed in the vagina, the sexual pleasure is basically normal, the frequency of sexual intercourse is low, and the masturbation erection response is basically normal.
2. (Moderate): Decreased libido, slow erection response, inability to sustain an erection, insufficient erection hardness for insertion into the vagina, disappearance of sexual pleasure, significant reduction in sexual intercourse frequency, and reluctance to masturbate and erect.
3. (Severe): The desire for sexual desire disappears, there is no erection reaction at all, and the persistent erection of the penis cannot speak. It can be completely inserted into the vagina without sexual pleasure. Diagnose whether erectile difficulties exist: Determine the parameters such as rapid and slow penile erection response, duration, and penile erection hardness. People with difficulties in these aspects can consider penile erection dysfunction.
In addition, attention should be paid to understanding whether the occurrence of difficulty in movement is sudden (often caused by psychological stimuli, belonging to mental impotence) or gradually worsening unconsciously, which does not mean the existence of organic problems), in order to facilitate the identification of the types of impotence. 1. Erectile difficulties of type 2 are mainly related to mental content, and may also be early stages of organic content lesions. The three are commonly seen in organic erectile dysfunction.
Three Misunderstandings in Self Test of Erectile Impotence
Myth 1: Erectile dysfunction is caused by occasional changes in sexual partners
Having sex with one's own wife is normal and has good erectile function, but being emotionally depressed during an affair is not a true form of erectile dysfunction because the patient's own function is not compromised. But people with this situation need to go to the hospital for examination to see if there is something wrong with other organs.
Myth 2: Treating the inability to induce orgasm and pleasure in the female partner as impotence
Even if a woman does not experience sexual pleasure, as long as the penis can be erect and inserted, and as long as the man can successfully ejaculate and achieve orgasm through sexual intercourse, it is not impotence.
