How to scientifically handle foreskin elongation and precautions after foreskin surgery
Phimosis refers to the condition where the penis is not erect and the foreskin covers the entire head of the penis and urethral opening, but the foreskin can still retract and expose the head of the penis; If the foreskin needs to be pushed up by hand to fully expose the head of the genitalia when the penis is erect, it is also considered as having a long foreskin. However, cases of phimosis often accompanied by excessive foreskin. If in adulthood, the foreskin opening is narrow, or the foreskin still adheres to the glans, and the foreskin cannot be turned up to expose the urethral opening or glans, it is called phimosis in medicine.
How to deal with foreskin too long scientifically
During the puberty stage of male development, the penis rapidly develops and the volume increases, and the foreskin also retracts upwards and exposes the glans penis. Some men may be diagnosed with phimosis because the outer opening of the foreskin is too small to retract and expose the glans penis. Some cases, although the outer opening of the foreskin is small, can be turned up to expose the glans penis, but the foreskin covers the glans penis and the outer opening of the urethra, which can be clinically diagnosed as phimosis.
Men with long foreskin should seek surgical treatment at the hospital as soon as possible and undergo circumcision. For phimosis without inflammation, even frequent cleaning of the foreskin does not require surgical treatment. If there is inflammation that cannot be treated by surgery as soon as possible, you should keep the vulva clean, clean the penis every day, do not frequently turn over the foreskin, and do not believe in the so-called folk remedies. You can go to the hospital in time to treat the inflammation before surgery.
In addition, when phimosis and foreskin are too long, premarital circumcision should be advocated. After treatment, normal sexual activity can be resumed. If untreated men engage in sexual activity, they must undergo local cleaning and hygiene. After sexual intercourse, they must also be cleaned to avoid bacterial transmission. It is also necessary to maintain local lubrication of the penis to avoid excessive movement during sexual intercourse and the occurrence of incarcerated phimosis or tearing of the penis.
Three types of patients with phimosis are not suitable for surgery
1. Patients with phimosis with hemorrhagic diseases
Hemorrhagic diseases refer to abnormal conditions caused by disorders in normal hemostatic function, such as abnormal blood vessel walls, platelet count or function, or coagulation dysfunction, manifested as spontaneous bleeding or prolonged bleeding after minor injury. Patients with excessive foreskin have bleeding disorders, and postoperative bleeding is not only quite dangerous. Therefore, patients with phimosis should undergo coagulation function tests before surgical treatment.
