The occurrence of Ectopic pregnancy will not only affect normal fertility, but also cause serious harm to women's health. We must clarify its causes and take reasonable precautions in daily life.
Causes of Ectopic pregnancy
1. Chronic pelvic inflammation: chronic pelvic inflammation is the common and main cause of Ectopic pregnancy. Inflammation causes adhesion, narrowing, and irregularity of the fallopian tube mucosa, which weakens the muscle peristalsis of the fallopian tube wall and affects the fallopian tubes. Pregnant eggs are obstructed in the fallopian tubes, which may lead to implantation and development on the spot, leading to tubal pregnancy.
2. Fallopian tube surgery: The formation of fallopian tube recanalization or fistula after tubal infertility may lead to tubal pregnancy, especially for infertility caused by laparoscopic electrocoagulation and silicone circumcision. Patients who have undergone tubal separation and adhesion surgery, salpingoplasty, salpingostomy, and tubal opening surgery have a recurrence rate of 10% to 20%.
3. Dysplasia or dysfunction of the fallopian tubes: Dysplasia of the fallopian tubes manifests as excessive fallopian tubes, underdeveloped muscular layers, and insufficient mucosal cilia. In addition, there are double fallopian tubes, rest rooms, umbrellas, etc., which can be the cause of tubal pregnancy. Abnormal estrogen secretion will affect the normal operation of Zygote. In addition, mental factors may also cause tubal spasm and abnormal peristalsis, which may hinder the transportation of Zygote
4. Zygote migration: the egg is fertilized in one side of the fallopian tube, and the Zygote enters the opposite fallopian tube through the uterine cavity and abdominal cavity, which is called Zygote migration. If the migration time is too long, the Zygote will grow larger and can be implanted in the opposite fallopian tube to form a tubal pregnancy.
5. Assisted reproductive technology: from the initial Artificial insemination to the application of commonly used ovulation promoting drugs, External fertilization embryo transfer (1VF-ET) and gamete intrafallopian tube transfer (GIFT), ectopic pregnancy occurred, with an incidence of about 5%, which is higher than that of ectopic pregnancy of common causes. The related risk factors include preoperative fallopian tube disease, history of pelvic surgery, technical factors of embryo transfer, quantity and quality of embryo transfer, hormone environment, and excessive transfer fluid during embryo transfer.
6. Chronic salpingitis: the mucous membrane in the wall of the fallopian tube has wrinkles and adhesions, and the uterine cavity is narrow. At the same time, due to inflammation and pathological changes, the mucous membrane has ciliated defects, and the smooth muscle of the tube wall has weakened peristalsis, it is difficult for the Zygote to reach the uterine cavity.
