How to prevent cryptorchidism more effectively? What are the methods to treat cryptorchidism
Testicles occur in one or both sides, with more in one side. The incidence of unilateral testis on the right side is slightly higher than that on the left side. However, even if there is an appropriate amount of androgen in both testicles, it can maintain the development of male secondary sexual characteristics.
What are the symptoms of testicular disease
Testis refers to the abnormal state that the bilateral or unilateral testicles do not fall into the scrotum after 2 months of birth. Testis can be divided into true testis and false testis. Pseudo-testis refers to the true testis that the inner membrane of the scrotum cannot contact the testis, but the upper part of the scrotum or the groin can contact the testis. Not only can the inner membrane of the scrotum not contact the testis, but also the upper part of the scrotum or the groin cannot contact the testis. Its position is too high, and it is often located in the abdominal cavity. Both true and false testicles and bilateral and unilateral testicles are collectively referred to as testicular disease.
During the fetal period, the testicles are in the posterior abdominal cavity. When most male fetuses are in the mother's body for about 8 months, the testicles drop into the scrotum. Therefore, the testicles of normal men are in the scrotum. If the testicles cannot be found when touching the scrotum, it may be called testicular disease. Most of the undescended testicles of cryptorchidism patients are in the groin and a few in the posterior abdominal cavity. Because the testicles do not descend into the scrotum, the development of the scrotum will also be poor, and sometimes the left and right sides will be asymmetric.
What are the methods to prevent cryptorchidism
1. If children with cryptorchidism have signs of low intelligence, we should also check whether they have diseases related to genetic and endocrine abnormalities.
2. Endocrine therapy was ineffective. At the age of 2, reliable surgical treatment was performed to free the spermatic cord, repair the internal hernia sac, and fix the testicle in the scrotum.
3. Male newborns must be examined for testicles. Perform physical therapy immediately if necessary.
4. After the male is born, check whether there are testicles. If there are testicles after birth, the parents need not worry, because there is still a great chance of testicular decline within 1 year of age. If the testicle of the child has not dropped to the scrotum at the age of 10 months, endocrine therapy should be started.
How to treat cryptorchidism
1. Waiting for treatment
Without taking positive measures, the treatment of simply waiting is only applicable to children under 2 years old. Generally, the testicles of infants have dropped into the scrotum at birth, but it is not ruled out that some infants have delayed the decline of testicles due to delayed embryonic development. The delay time varies from 3 months to 1 year. If parents find that the infant has cryptorchidism at birth, they can wait patiently and expect the cryptorchidism to drop automatically. If the wait fails, they should go to the hospital as soon as possible.
