On March 28, the French "Opinion" newspaper, which did not take contraceptive measures when 30% of male and female college students had sex, assisted Reuters. During the Sidaction activity of the French AIDS charity in 2014, the French College Rotating savings and credit association Smerep published a survey report on March 27 local time. About 30% of French college students did not take protective measures when having sex.
Among the surveyed college students, 30% did not take any protective measures during sexual intercourse, and only 41% of college students frequently took protective measures. According to reports, this dangerous practice is more prominent among college girls. According to statistics, in France, 80% of college students have sex, and 30% of them confess that they have not taken any preventive measures, which reaches 39% among college women.
It is reported that the three major reasons for college students to have unsafe sex are that both sides of the behavior have received medical examination (about 60%), and one side of the behavior uses other contraceptive methods (about 50%) or takes protective measures to affect sexual experience (about 20%). Contraception and prevention of Sexually transmitted infection are easily confused, and medical examination seems unreliable.
However, among the surveyed college students, 30% indicated that they undergo a check-up when changing partners, but about 40% admitted that they have not undergone a check-up (38% in France and 32% in the Isle of France region). 40% of college students in the Isle of France region tend to undergo tests when exchanging partners, compared to only 33% in France. The survey was conducted in the form of a self filled questionnaire from March 4th to March 8th. 500 students from all over France and 700 students from Pays de France participated in the survey.
