How do women predict ovulation period? Nowadays, many women are actively preparing for pregnancy, so I want to know how to calculate a woman's ovulation period. There are many methods for calculating ovulation period. The following series will introduce how women predict ovulation period.
Women of normal reproductive age have one egg per month that matures and ovulates. Sperm combines with the expelled egg and transfers to the uterus to develop into a fetus. However, the survival time of eggs is only 24 hours, and the survival time of sperm is only 72 hours. How can we accurately grasp the ovulation date, have sex on schedule, and conceive a baby? Of course, medicine is very advanced now. There are many advanced methods for detecting ovulation in hospitals. However, for women who work and live normally, spending a lot of money, time, and even physical trauma is not practical. Here are three simple methods for predicting ovulation.
1、 Ovulation period is calculated based on the menstrual cycle
For women with normal menstrual cycles, the ovulation date is actually relatively fixed and should be around 14 days before the next menstrual cycle. For example, menstruation comes from October 1st, menstruation comes from November 1st, and ovulation date is approximately October 16th. Women with irregular menstruation have difficulty grasping the ovulation date and need to estimate it by measuring their basic body temperature and observing vaginal discharge.
2、 Identifying ovulation period through basic body temperature
The correct way to measure basal body temperature is to lie on the bed and test the oral thermometer every morning without any activity after waking up, and draw the temperature measured every day on the thermometer. The basal body temperature before ovulation is relatively low. The body temperature drops by 0.1~0.2 ℃ during ovulation. After ovulation, the body temperature rises by 0.3~0.5 ℃ immediately. Until menstruation, the body temperature remains at this level after pregnancy. If you are not pregnant and your menstrual cycle starts, your body temperature will drop again. If you want to get pregnant during ovulation, it is best to have a room within 24 hours of the lowest body temperature, as the pregnancy rate is highest.
Note: It is important to have a regular schedule of rest and sleep. Continuously drawing 2- only a basic body temperature of three months can reveal the pattern.
3、 Discovering ovulation period based on changes in vaginal discharge
Under normal circumstances, the quality and quantity of vaginal discharge vary with the menstrual cycle. After menstruation, the vaginal discharge appears white, with a small amount and a paste like appearance. When ovulation is about to occur in the middle of menstruation, due to the strong secretion of cervical glands, vaginal discharge increases, and transparent, slightly sticky, and egg white can be extended to about 10cm. After ovulation for 2-3 days, the vaginal discharge becomes cloudy, sticky, and less abundant.
