How can sexually transmitted diseases be transmitted? Many people know the great harm of sexually transmitted diseases and are afraid of contracting them, but they cannot control their lower body. Some men like to cheat on young women outside, do not pay attention to reproductive health, and have sex with their wives at home, which can easily lead to sexually transmitted diseases. Let's learn how gonorrhea is transmitted together!
Gonorrhea is a purulent infection of the urinary and reproductive systems caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Under certain conditions, Neisseria gonorrhoeae can also infect the eyes, pharynx, rectum, and pelvic cavity, with individual systemic infections occurring. The incubation period is generally 2-10 days, with an average of 3-5 days. Common symptoms in males include urethritis, including frequent urination, urgency, pain, redness, swelling, itching of the urethral opening, and discharge of purulent secretions. The common symptom among women is cervicitis, where vaginal discharge (vaginal discharge) increases and turns yellow, but many infected individuals do not have any symptoms.
1. Sexual contact infection: mainly refers to sexual intercourse and other sexually transmitted infections. Male gonorrhea is almost always caused by sexual contact, while female gonorrhea can also be directly transmitted through sexual intercourse or through other means of infection. Gonorrhea patients are the source of infection, and sexual contact is the main mode of transmission of gonorrhea. The transmission speed is fast, and the transmission rate is high. After infection, the disease can onset within 3-5 days. Young adults are the center of infection.
2。 Non sexual contact infection (indirect infection): This situation is rare, mainly in contact with the patient's secretions containing gonococcal bacteria and contaminated tools, such as towels attached to the secretions, foot pads, clothes, and even toilet loops, especially in women (including young girls), with short urethra and reproductive tract, which are prone to infection. When a newborn passes through the birth canal of a gonococcal mother, the eyes can also cause gonococcal ophthalmia in the newborn. Pregnant women with gonorrhea can cause amniotic cavity infections, including fetal infections.
