Male erectile dysfunction, abbreviated as ED, is one of the common diseases in adult men. In recent years, with the increase of people's life and work pressure, its incidence rate also shows an upward trend. According to statistics, the incidence rate of ED is roughly 40% for men aged 40, 50% for men aged 50, 60% for men aged 60, and 70% for men aged 70. The incidence rate shows obvious age-related changes. Expert introduction: Generally speaking, ED does not have a direct impact on physical health, but patients often feel great mental pressure, self-esteem is greatly damaged, and life is meaningless, resulting in marital disharmony and even tension, family breakdown, and thus affecting social stability.
Experts said that ED is the "barometer" of many other cardiovascular diseases. Patients with hypertension, diabetes and other diseases, the first symptom is erectile dysfunction. Domestic surveys have shown that in addition to high psychological pressure, the general health status and energy of ED patients are significantly lower than those of non ED populations. A large-scale clinical survey of ED patients found that when asked "Overall, how is your health?", only 9.21% of ED patients answered "OK," while 78.50% of ED patients responded to varying degrees of "feeling tired.".
The reason for this is that more than half of ED patients have primary diseases of different degrees at the same time, such as diabetes, hypertension, etc., which leads to their relatively poor overall health.
Therefore, experts suggest that the scientific and effective treatment of ED mainly includes three aspects:
First, address both psychological and physical issues related to the condition of ED. Psychologically, doctors and patients' families, especially their wives, should provide more guidance and comfort to the patients' inner world, telling them that ED is not a problem that cannot be solved, and that they should actively seek medical attention, without any embarrassment.
Secondly, adhere to the treatment of primary diseases while treating ED. More than half of the patients with ED have primary diseases of different degrees at the same time, such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, etc. These primary diseases and ED have the same pathogenesis, both belong to vascular diseases, and the local blood vessels of the penis will also be affected by the disease. If these primary diseases are not well treated, it will lead to poor efficacy in treating ED alone.
Third, focus on systemic treatment and regulation. Sexual activity is a whole body activity, not a mechanical activity without emotion at all. Therefore, for patients with ED, it is very important to regulate various aspects, including energy and physical strength. Usually, attention should be paid to rest, reasonable diet, moderate exercise, and self relaxation.
In addition, experts remind male friends to pay attention to the factors that may induce ED in their lives, and try to avoid causing ED due to not paying attention to the details of life, which affects their originally happy and harmonious lives.
