(2) Pruritus is the main symptom, but the degree of itching varies from person to person. Pruritus is caused by pubic lice piercing or piercing the skin with their claws, biting the lice 'mouths, and injecting saliva before itching occurs. The reason why pubic lice inject saliva during bloodsucking is because saliva can prevent blood clotting, which is beneficial for bloodsucking. The pubic lice suck blood several times a day, so itching is paroxysmal.
(3) Grey and blue spots can be seen near the affected area, ranging from 0.2 to 2cm in size. They are painless, not itchy, and do not fade when pressed down. They can last for several months. This type of gray and blue spot can also be seen in areas such as the chest, abdomen, and inner thigh. The reason for the occurrence of this gray and blue stain is currently unclear, and may be related to the saliva entering the bloodstream during the bite of pubic lice.
