1. Bladder irritation symptoms: frequent urination, urgency of urination, increased nocturia and urgent incontinence.
The frequency of urination is an early signal of BPH, especially the increase in the number of nocturnal urination is of clinical significance. Generally speaking, the number of nocturnal urination is often parallel to the degree of prostatic hyperplasia. The elderly who did not wake up at night usually urinated 1-2 times at night, often reflecting the onset of early obstruction, but developed from 2 times per night to 4-5 times per night or more, indicating the development and aggravation of the disease.
2. Urinary obstruction symptoms: mainly due to prostatic hyperplasia blocking the urinary tract.
① Weak urination, thin urine line and dripping urine: due to the obstruction of the hyperplastic prostate, the patient needs to use greater force to overcome the resistance of urination, so as to urinate laboriously. The hyperplastic prostate will compress the urethra and cause the urine line to become thin; With the development of the disease, symptoms such as interruption of urination and continuous dripping after urination may also occur.
② Hematuria: Blood in urine is called hematuria, also called urine blood. Under normal circumstances, there are no red blood cells in urine. In medicine, the patient's urine is centrifuged and precipitated, and then examined with a microscope. If there are more than 5 red blood cells in each high power field of vision, it is called hematuria.
③ Urinary retention: For patients with severe prostatic hyperplasia in the late stage, acute urinary retention may occur due to the inability to excrete urine due to cold, drinking, holding urine for a long time or infection.
④ Frequency of urination: It is an early signal of prostatic hyperplasia, especially the increase in the number of nocturnal urination is more clinically significant.
