Four methods for treating vestibular gland cysts and cleaning the external genitalia are key
The appearance of vestibular gland cysts is of particular concern to many women. After falling ill, we must seek timely and reasonable treatment, especially during normal times.
Causes of Vestibular Gland Cysts
1. After the infection of vestibular gland abscess subsides, pus is absorbed, and mucus in the glandular cavity is thick, blocking the glandular duct.
2. Congenital narrowing or sealing of the glandular duct leads to the formation of cysts due to poor or inability to expel fluid from the glandular cavity.
3. Individual cases of vestibular duct injury may be caused by severe scar tissue contraction during delivery, vaginal and perineal lateral lacerations, and healing of the damaged duct or perineal incision, resulting in obstruction of the vestibular duct opening and the formation of cysts.
Harm of Vestibular Gland Cyst
1. The vestibular gland is located at the posterior part of the greater genitalia on both sides, and the glandular opening is located on the inner side of the lesser genitalia near the membranous area of unmarried women. Due to the characteristics of the anatomical site, pathogens can easily infiltrate and cause inflammation when contaminating the external genitalia during sexual activity, childbirth, or other situations.
2. After a woman is infected with a vestibular gland cyst, if not treated in a timely manner, the cyst may spread backwards and become an abscess around the rectum, sometimes leading to rectal ulcers. During palpation, small and hard nodules can be palpated, with slight tenderness. When compressed, pus may flow out of the fistula, sometimes the fistula self seals or narrows, and pus may accumulate and form an abscess again. It may also recur and persist for a long time.
3. The onset is mostly unilateral or bilateral. It may not show any symptoms for a long time and is often discovered during gynecological examinations. Cysts grow slowly and generally do not exceed the size of an egg. Larger cysts can cause external genitalia swelling and sexual discomfort. Upon examination, it was found that a lump occupied the middle and lower one-third of the greater genitalia, and the lesser genitalia was completely flat, with the vaginal opening pushed towards the healthy side. During secondary infection of the vestibular gland cyst, an abscess can form, and repeated infection can expand the cyst. Reminder to patients: Vestibular gland cysts pose a serious threat and seriously affect women's normal life. They should not have a sense of luck and should not be delayed. Otherwise, there may be unimaginable results.
Treatment of Vestibular Gland Cysts
1. Emergency treatment: mainly including simple puncture and drainage method, Word catheter method, ostomy and other treatment techniques, these methods mainly rely on surgery to remove the abscess to treat the condition.
