Sperm ejaculated during sexual intercourse is more energetic than sperm ejaculated during masturbation, which has important guiding significance for reproductive medicine.

Through the detection and comparison of gonadotropins in serum, it was found that there was no significant difference in the content of gonadotropins before and after masturbation and sexual intercourse; The determination of testosterone levels in blood and semen also showed no significant differences in levels before and after masturbation and sexual intercourse. It is speculated that the secretion function of the prostate and semen quality are not related to hormone levels in the body.
Using a semen collection device to collect semen injected during sexual intercourse would be the best choice for artificial fertilization, much better than injecting semen during masturbation.
