Does it work to reduce the risk of AIDS? What are the main Pathogen transmission of AIDS
Once a person infected with AIDS virus develops into a AIDS patient, his/her physical health will deteriorate rapidly, and the patient will suffer great pain physically, and finally be killed. Most people only know that AIDS will threaten individual lives, but they do not know that AIDS will have a significant impact on children, families and society. Understanding the harm of AIDS will help to improve our vigilance and sense of social responsibility. Therefore, the prevention of AIDS is a concern of the world. Two international studies have shown that long-term Vaginal ring containing anti retroviral drugs can reduce the probability of HIV infection in women.
Vaginal ring can reduce the probability of AIDS
This anti retroviral drug reaches the level of picavirin. Dapiverin Vaginal ring is developed by the non-profit organization International Bactericide Partnership Organization, which can reduce the AIDS infection rate of women over 25 years old by 61%. The study also added preventive drugs to encourage healthy people to take antiretroviral drugs to prevent AIDS.
These latest research results are from two large phase III clinical trials, namely the "ring study" and "ASPIRE". These two large trials randomly selected thousands of African women and taught them how to use Vaginal ring, which either contain active drugs or contain placebo. The "Ring Study" hosted by the International Partnership Organization for Fungicides shows that the long-acting Vaginal ring can reduce the HIV infection rate by 31% compared with placebo. According to ASPIRE research, the Vaginal ring can reduce the HIV infection rate by 27%. Both examinations found that the efficacy of Vaginal ring was very different according to the age of women.
Most of the 35 million AIDS infected people in the world are women, most of whom live in sub Saharan Africa. These studies have brought hope to women at high risk of AIDS.
Some Pathogen transmission of AIDS
1. Sexual contact transmission
Sexual contact transmission HIV exists in the semen and Vaginal discharge of infected persons, and is transmitted between men and women through sexual intercourse (including normal sexual intercourse, anal communication and oral sex). Globally, 9 out of every 10 adults infected with AIDS are infected through sexual intercourse. The more Sexual partner there are, the greater the risk of AIDS infection. People suffering from sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), AIDS infected people are prone to AIDS during sexual intercourse.
