Sexual Health
Avoiding sex education has negative effects. It's best to have sex with children at the age of 11
Don't tell the children that they jumped out of the crevices in the stones, and don't pick them up from the garbage. If a child asks, it is important to provide a positive and scientific answer, and avoid taboos. In the classroom of the Municipal Youth Activity Center, psychological counselors taught more than 40 parents how to carry out sex education correctly.
Sexual issues cannot be avoided
At the beginning of the lecture, the psychologist conducted a small survey. She asked the guardian on stage if anyone had actively discussed sexual topics with the child, and only one guardian raised their hand. When asked if they would put condoms in their children's backpacks, no one raised their hands in the room. Psychologists say that in traditional Chinese beliefs, sex is often difficult to talk about, and the feedback from parents reflects this. However, in the current information society, avoiding this issue has significant negative effects.
Several cases encountered by psychological counselors in their work have made teenagers feel that sexual problems urgently need to be solved: a 16-year-old boy called to discuss and said that his organ is the vagina, and that he has strong sexual impulses, but he doesn't know how to solve them. This boy even has the idea of committing a crime, wanting to invade the female students and teachers around her. A 14-year-old girl often doesn't come back at night after having a boyfriend. Parents want their daughter to be careful of sexual assault, but it's difficult to speak up.
Without proper guidance, ignorance of sex can lead people to commit crimes or even harm themselves. During the process of psychological counseling, psychological counselors also encounter some psychopaths who exhibit exhibitionism and voyeurism. Careful exploration of the depths of these people's hearts reveals that many of them did not receive proper sexual education when they were young, and their entire adolescence was suppressed. Many people know this information from yellow books, which inevitably leads to misunderstandings.
Sex education must follow the correct approach, making children responsible for their health and improving sexual health. In addition, allowing children to carry condoms with them does not mean encouraging them to have sex, but rather plays a safety role in situations of aggression or weak rationality. If safety measures are available, serious consequences such as AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy can be avoided. It is a proactive measure.
There must be different methods of explanation for treating children of different periods. Generally speaking, children aged 3 to 5 do not say anything, but when asked, they answer in scientific terms. You cannot answer with the word 'chicken'. Children aged 5 to 10 who have penises should be directly told that they can continue to recognize gender differences. Children aged 10 to 19 who ask questions that must be answered head-on mainly answer gender confusion. Because during this period, the secondary sexual characteristics of both boys and girls began to appear, and they both longed to have a better understanding of themselves.
